Are you looking for career and technical skills training?

PA Career, Technical and Trade Schools:

Explore vocational and technical careers, check out the skills employers really want, find a trade school, research technical topics and take a look at the current job market within the Vocational Information Center

Colleges and universities are not the only way to get the education you need to pursue a career. Technical, trade and career schools offer specialized training in a number of areas such as business, culinary arts, welding, fashion design, automotive repair, carpentry and graphic design. These programs are often hands-on with an emphasis on the training skills and knowledge related to the trade or occupational area. These types of schools educate over two million students every year. These programs may lead to a license, a certificate of completion, an associates of arts degree (A.A), an associate of science degree (A.S.), or an associate of applied science degree (A.A.S.).

The U.S. workforce trends show that 20 percent of AMerican jobs require a baccalaureate or graduate degree and 65 percent require at least some education beyond high school, usually a two-year degree. This is an important reason to investigate the opportunities and benefits of Technical and Trade Career Schools.

Some benefits of Choosing a technical / trade / career school:

  • Receive an education specific to your career goal
  • Increases your employability potential following graduation
  • Smaller, more individualized classes
  • Class environments often resemble the "real-world" work environment
  • Majority of the programs require less than a two-year commitment
  • Opportunity to receive financial aid
